Assignment 5

One of the most interesting subjects that I’ve had this semester is 'Photography and Memory'. The photography as a historical document’ I find it very interesting, because it opens the historical research, because, to use photos to do historical research means that you don’t only have to use big books for it. I think that it’s very important to use different things, because we have to have our minds open about things.
In this subject we have learned to analyze pictures and to get some information from them, also we have learned to take good pictures, and to use our cameras. I really like photography and the different subjects related to it, so I’m very happy studying this, because I have learned a lot of interesting things.
Some websites related to this topic are www.fotografia.net where you can see different professional photos and more, www.fototrekking.com where you can find some out door activities that involves photography, actually there are photographic excursions, they are great.

Interesting websites to history's student.

The first website that I am going to talk about is a Chilean history page, the link is http://www.historia.uchile.cl/.
In this site you can find a lot of documents about diferent events in this country. You can also find very old newspapers and many kinds of documents that an historian needs.

Another website very usefull for us, as history students, is http://www.memoriachilena.cl/. In this site, you can find all kind of documents, not just about the chilean history, but also about the literature, art and music of this country. There are a lot of documents, books and photos of this areas of chilean culture.The interesting about this site is that is divided in issues like Independence, Originals Cultures, Important Characters, etc; so is very useful not only for historians and history studient but also for anyone that's interested in the history of Chile.

The last website I'm going to talk about is http://www.serindigena.cl/ and is also about the history of Chile. The particular thing about this website is that we can find information of the originals cultures of this country like the Aymara culture. There are all kind of documents of medicine, gastronomy and history of this cultures and we have the posibility of explore this site reading in the originals languages like mapudungun or rapa nui.

My tiring weekend.

In my last weekend I worked and studied a lot. The Friday, I worked as waitress in the birthday of one of my boss's friend. That day I had to stay in the bar until 6 am, so the next day I was very tired. But, anyway, I had to study because the Monday I had to give an essay, for this reason, I didn't sleep much this weekend. Usually, in my weekends I work, but also I spend time with my friends. But, like we were in strike we missed a lot of class, so this last weeks we had have very much tests and stuff. Was really stressed.

The melody of this song is very sad, beacause the lyrics is very sad. The song is about a girl who love a boy so much that she say : "wait, they don't love you like I love you". Besides, she says that they are of the same kind of persons. This song brings me many beaautiful memories, because I lived something like that.

Hi! my name is Macarena Orellana, I'm from Chile and I'm twenty years old.
I work as a waitress in a bar at the Lastarria street in Santiago center. Besides, I'm studing Licenciature in History at the Universidad de Chile. My carrer is very interesting, but I have to read a lot. I have subjects like Modern History, Historical Geography, History of Chile and others.
In my free time I like to listening to music like Nach Scratch or SFDK, playing football, going to parties with my friends or just spend time in my bedroom.
